Devdan Show Hosts the Wife of Indonesia’s Armed Forces Commander

Devdan Show welcomed Mrs. Moeldoko, the wife of Gen. TNI Moeldoko, the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI)‎, in its premise Bali Nusa Dua Theatre, on October 8th, 2014. During the visit, she was accompanied by Mrs. Gatot Nurmantyo, the wife of Let. Gen TNI Gatot Nurmantyo, the Indonesia’s Army Chief of Staff and Mrs. Torry Johar Banguntoro, the wife of Maj. Gen Torry Johar Banguntoro, the Commander of the Indonesian Military Command Udayana Area. They watched the show together with a few other VIP guests.

Bali is hosting an international annual event Bali Democracy Forum VII on 10 and 11 October 2014 at Bali International Convention Center, Nusa Dua. It is themed “Evolving Regional Democratic Architecture: the Dynamics of Political Development, Socio-Economic Progress and Public Participation in the Democratic Process”. BDF will be attended by foreign ministers from democratic countries in Asia-Pacific as well as some of the presidents, and Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The Indonesia’s Army leaders are on duty to ensure the security issues are well controlled.



Devdan Show, the only cultural performance in Indonesia held in a world class theatre, regularly hosts the country’s VIP officials and guests. The show portrays the diverse cultures of the archipelago nation through various colorful dances. “It’s a very impressive show,” Mrs. Moeldoko expressed her thought after the performance.

The show which is supported by 38 highly skilled dancers, technologically advanced stage equipment, and 700 comfortable seats in a high ceiling modern theatre aiming to be a vehicle for Indonesia to introduce the country in an educative and entertaining way. “We’ve got countless special guests from all over the world,” explained Handari Himawan, the General Manager of Bali Nusa Dua Theatre. “We’re glad that our show attracts visitors locally and internationally, but at the same time, it’s a challenge for us to always find a way to wrap Devdan’s content artistically unforgettable,” she said.
