Made Mangku Pastika, the Governor of Bali visited Bali Nusa Dua Theatre on 22nd August 2014 to watch Devdan Show. Together with his wife and a few other special guests, Mr.Pastika enjoyed the performance for the second time, after his first visit in 2011.
During his incumbency, the Governor highlights the development of tourism industry, especially in Bali. Made Mangku Pastika whose father is a dance and martial art teacher supports Devdan Show as a vehicle to bring Indonesian culture to a wider audience internationally. “It really makes me proud,” he expressed his appreciation to the theatre team after the show. His wife Ayu Pastika commented similarly “The show is really amazing,” she said.
Devdan Show offers an educative cultural performance, tailored to bean easy and fun show to see and learn the richness of the Indonesia. Wrapped up in a 90 minutes creative performance, Devdan show creatively customized to be enjoyable for audience at any age.
During the show, the 38 performers present dances from some parts of Indonesia, including Bali, Sumatera, Java, Kalimantan and Papua. The educative extravaganza shows countless stage effects such as torrential rain pours, flame bursts as well as different types of aerial ballet. It is not only to depict the traditional elements of the country, but also mix them with contemporary performances.
“I hope the show will be developed continuously,” the governor ended his comment.
